About
Carol Sturman, LMT

Massage therapy attracted me after years in fields ranging from administrative support to graphic arts and technical writing. I craved a career involving more human contact than contact with machines. Around the time I was considering a change, I was referred to physical therapy for neck issues and found that massage therapy was one of the most helpful elements. A literal pain in the neck was the inspiration for a new career.

After receiving my certificate in Massage Therapy from the Community College of Allegheny County in 2010, I became licensed in Pennsylvania in March 2011, when licensing became mandated for massage therapists in the Commonwealth.
The best thing about my new career direction is the people I have met through massage. My massage career has allowed me the privilege of providing:
-
Pain relief and relaxation for hospice patients,
-
Special treatments for salon patrons and hotel guests,
-
Extra attention to the stubborn knots of health club members, and
-
Brief escapes in the hectic days of office workers and travelers.
Currently I am offering the following mobile services in Pittsburgh and the South Hills area:
-
Seated (or chair) massage
-
Foot massage
-
Geriatric massage
